Bring your high school music students (juniors and seniors) to attend GRAMMY Career Day, a daylong music conference hosted at San Francisco State University.

GRAMMY Career Day GRAMMY Career Day is a national outreach program of the GRAMMY Foundation, providing insight to high school students about careers that are available in music and direction on how to prepare for them. Your students will learn and speak with industry professionals about their career path. Professionals from every style of music will present workshops and panels to the students, inclusive of the fields of performance, film, games, media and live music.


 

GRAMMY Career Day Schedule:

8:30 a.m.        Registration

9:00 a.m.        Welcome and Morning Performance

9:30 a.m.        Career Panel featuring Student Performers

10:30 a.m.      Career Workshops (Students will select one of 14)

12:00 p.m.      Lunch (Students should plan to bring their own lunches)

1:00 p.m.        Afternoon performances

2:30 p.m.        Buses pick up students

 

Due to limited space, reservations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis, with an active waiting list. Schools are asked to register a maximum of 30 students. Please provide 1 chaperone per 15 students.  If your school would like to bring more than 30 students, please email kaitlin.mcgaw@grammy.com.

 

There is no cost to participate in this program, but schools are asked to provide their own school buses to attend. Limited funding is available for school transportation; please alert us if this is of financial importance to your participation.

 

We are interested in tailoring our workshop to your students’ interests! Please indicate what subjects they are interested in so that we may accommodate. The final list of workshops will be sent to you in November.
